IPL will start once again on May 17. Due to tension between India and Pakistan, the BCCI suspended the IPL for one week on May 9. After that, most of the foreign players returned to their respective countries. However, foreign players are now returning to India. But before the start of the league, a cricket board made a big decision. This board ordered its eight players to leave India in the middle of the season.
8 Players Got A Big Order
According to a report by Cricbuzz, Cricket South Africa has ordered its players to return home by May 26. A total of 20 players from South Africa are playing in IPL 2025, out of which 8 have been selected in the South Africa team for the final of the World Test Championship. South African Cricket wants these 8 players to return home by May 26 to get rest time before the final of the World Test Championship.
South African Cricket said that the initial agreement with IPL and BCCI was that the final would be held on May 25. Our players would return on the 26th to get enough time before we left on the 30th. But now, the final match of IPL 2025 will be played on June 3. That is, these 8 players may be out of the playoff matches, which will be a big setback for their teams.
Which Teams Will Get A Setback
These 8 players selected in South Africa’s team for the final of the World Test Championship are Corbin Bosch (Mumbai Indians), Wiaan Mulder (Sunrisers Hyderabad) Marco Jansen (Punjab Kings), Aiden Markram (Lucknow Supergiants), Lungi Ngidi (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Kagiso Rabada (Gujarat Titans), Ryan Rickelton (Mumbai Indians) and Tristan Stubbs (Delhi Capitals). However, SRH is out of the race to make the playoffs, so their player Wiaan Mulder can return at the right time. Apart from this, a final decision can be made soon for the rest of the players.
