One Lane Open Shahberi Road

Greater Noida West: Five lakh people living there will no longer face traffic jams. The Greater Noida Authority opened one lane of Shahberi Road for vehicular movement. Vehicles started moving on this road. The authority claims widening Shahberi Road in Greater Noida will be completed in a week.

Construction Work has been Going On Since March 25

The width of this road, starting from the Iteda roundabout of Greater Noida West, was about 3 meters earlier. Due to being a one-lane road, traffic jams had to be faced every day. Due to this, the Greater Noida Authority started widening the Shahberi Marg, about one and a half kilometres long, on March 25. For strength, drains are being constructed on both sides for drainage along the RCC road for Rs 3 crore. Once the work is completed, traffic will become smooth between Greater Noida West and Crossing Republic.

Movement Started On One Lane

Greno Authority’s manager Nitish Kumar said the road’s width has been increased by at least one and a half meters on both sides. In some parts, the width has been increased up to two meters. The road widening work is in its final stage. One lane has been completed, and people have started moving on it.

Drain Constructed For Water Drainage

Greater Noida Authority ACEO Prerna Singh said that widening the road connecting Sector-4 of Greater Noida West to Crossing Republic Ghaziabad will be completed in a week. This will solve the problem of traffic jams in Shahberi. A drain has also been constructed for water drainage.
