Ola Electric Delayed Deliveries Of Roadster X

Ola Electric has delayed deliveries of the Roadster X electric motorcycle. In a regulatory filing, Ola Electric announced that deliveries of its first electric bike will begin in May, as against the earlier promise of April 2025. The Bhavish Aggarwal-led company had promised deliveries to start from March, but it was delayed by a month. This is the second time the deliveries of the Roadster have been extended. It is unclear whether this will impact the arrival of the Roadster and Roadster Pro models, which debuted alongside the X variant.

While Ola has not confirmed this, several reports have claimed that the initial delay was due to the incomplete homologation process on the Roadster X, which was ahead of the delivery timeline. However, the company claimed that the first batch of Roadster X models rolled out of the brand’s manufacturing plant on April 11, 2025.

The Company Had To Face an Investigation

Ola Electric added 1,395 Roadster X bookings to its sales data in February, while deliveries have not been made. The move has led the company to face regulatory scrutiny. A recent report suggested that SEBI is investigating Ola Electric for possible insider trading and suspicious related-party transactions. However, a recent company clarification called the report completely false.

Roadster X Electric Bike Price

Ola has been accepting bookings for the Roadster X for some time now. The Roadster X was spotted at dealerships, indicating deliveries will begin soon. The entry-level commuter electric motorcycle starts at ₹ 74,999 (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable e-bikes in India.

The top variant gets a 4.5 kWh battery with a range of 252 km. All three trims get the same 7 kw (9.3 bhp) mid-drive mounted electric motor.
