Dial This Number
If you are fighting on a train and there are no Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel present at that time, you can first inform the RPF by calling their helpline 182 or through their social media handles like @NRRPF, @rpfcr, @rpfecr, @pfwr1, or @pfsecr. After doing this, you will get help immediately.
This Is How You Will Get Help In an Emergency
In case of emergency, immediately dial 182 to report the incident. On the other hand, if you feel in more danger, try to go to a safe place inside the train, and waiting for help to arrive is advisable. However, you can also seek the help of the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TT) present on the train.
Report Here
If there is a fight on the train, you can file your report by tagging the social media handles of RPF. Whose names are as follows:-
- RPF Northern Railway: @NRRPF
- RPF Central Railway: @rpfcr
- RPF East Central Railway: @rpfecr
- RPF Western Railway: @pfwr1
- RPF South East Central Railway: @pfsecr
You can also file a report by visiting the website railmadad.indianrailways.gov.in.
Passengers Will Have To Give This Information
In case of a fight, passengers must provide the train and coach number, the location inside the train (e.g., which coach), the time of the incident, the reason for the fight, and any injury or damage while filing a complaint. Also, name, contact number, current address, nearest railway station, and PNR number (if applicable) will have to be provided.
What Help Will Be Available From Number 139?
Passengers get many facilities by calling the toll-free number 139 issued by the railways. While you can register your fight complaint on this number, you can also get security-related information, medical emergencies, train accidents, and any other information related to trains from here.
