Bhagalpur Goradih Flyover Construction

A flyover will be constructed on the Bhagalpur-Goradih road for 66.96 crores. The Deoghar-based agency M/s Hardev Construction Private Limited has the work. Construction will start in June, and the LAO will be issued to the contractor in May.

The agency will have to complete the construction work in 30 months. A general assessment drawing has been sent to the railways for NOC. The construction of this flyover will improve the connectivity of the city’s southern region. The flyover was said to be constructed at a lesser cost than the estimated 14.21 crores.

Engineers Did A Site Inspection

The agency engineers who reached the site for the inspection said the work would start as soon as the (LOA) Letter of Authorisation is issued. The flyovers in the southern city will be connected, making reaching the railway station from the bus stand built in GoraDih easier.

CM Laid The Foundation Stone During Pragati Yatra

A flyover will be built on Bounsi Rail-2 from Shitala Sthan Chowk to GoraDih Road. CM Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone during Pragati Yatra on February 1. The cost of flyover construction was fixed at Rs 81.17 crore. Hardev Construction had bid 17.51, M/s Hari Construction had bid 6.31 percent less.

The engineer of Bridge Construction Corporation said that the tender has been finalised. The final seal will be put on it at a board meeting in Patna on Monday. Then, a letter will come to the office.

The bill will be submitted in two weeks. After this process, there will be an agreement, after which the work order will be issued. Then, the agency will set up its plant. It was said that about five acres of land can also be acquired.

The Bridge Construction Corporation has sent the General Assessment Drawing (GAD) of Bounsi Rail Bridge-02 to the Railways for approval. The contractor must complete the project in 30 months or 2 1/2 years.

Land Will Be Acquired Along With The Construction Work

Construction work will accompany the land acquisition process here. This flyover will join the Bholanath flyover, which is being built near Sheetla Sthan. It will also connect to the road towards the bypass, Mirjanhat, and Gudhatta Chowk.

The flyover will be 900 meters long, but if the approach is included, it will be two and a quarter kilometres long. 550-600 meters will be constructed towards Sheetla Sthan and 600-700 meters towards Goradih. Like the Bholanath flyover, this 713.8-meter flyover will also be 8.5 meters wide.

It was said that by making a roundabout near Sheetla Sthan Chowk (Lakshman Vivah Bhawan), approaches will be made on all sides, including Sikandarpur and Mirjanhat. This will directly connect it to the Bhagalpur-Hansdiha NH. People will get relief from traffic jams due to connectivity on all sides. Traffic will be smooth.

There is a plan to build an interstate bus stand in Goradih. The construction of this flyover will increase connectivity. It will be more convenient for people to come and go to the bus stand. The flyover near the Baunsi railway bridge will make the way to a four-lane road easier.

Connectivity In The Southern Area Will Improve

A waterlogging problem also persists near the Baunsi railway bridge number 2. Due to this, people of the southern area and the rest of the city can go anywhere from Bholanath flyover via Baunsi flyover, directly via bypass and from there via Munger-Mirzachowki four-lane road. Nearly 1.5 lakh people in the southern area will benefit from this convenience in movement.
